A plant makes use of capillary action to draw liquid water into its system. Trees and taller plants com-bine smaller and larger vessels to transport vital liquids throughout the whole.
The “tornado” makes use of these same “capillaries” or tubes within the cellular structure of the wood to transport the treatment throughout the lumber.
Because the “capillary vessels” are still present , and perhaps enlarged in kiln dried wood, it is possible to transport treatments below the surface. This is especially useful when treating furniture, Cabinetry, or painted exterior siding.
The Tornado pneumatic treatment allows PMPs to treat areas that were previously inaccessible. By utilizing the natural make up of the materials to be treated it becomes possible to place the treatment where the termites are without “soaking”.
